How We Research and Review Turkish Tax and Accounting Guidance
SYSTEMS CPA publishes practical guidance for international companies operating in Türkiye. This page explains how our articles are prepared, what readers can independently verify, and why comparisons should not be mistaken for independent rankings.
Who is responsible for the guidance?
Our work addresses Turkish accounting, tax compliance, payroll, corporate structuring and related advisory questions. Evren Özmen is an Istanbul-based Certified Public Accountant (SMMM) and managing partner of OZM Consultancy. Readers can find the related private-client advisory practice at OZM Consultancy. Professional credentials and individual responsibility for any signed opinion should be confirmed directly with the issuing professional before engagement.
Sources and review criteria
- Primary sources first: we prioritise legislation, Official Gazette publications, guidance of the Turkish Revenue Administration, the Social Security Institution and competent regulators.
- Time-sensitive rules: monetary thresholds, effective dates and transitional provisions are checked against the applicable period. General articles cannot replace a review of an individual fact pattern.
- Comparisons: provider and jurisdiction comparisons should state their selection criteria, assumptions, limits and relevant commercial relationships. A provider being included does not prove it is the best choice for every business.
- Corrections: where readers identify a material error or a superseded rule, they may contact the team and request a review, specifying the article and underlying source.
What our comparisons mean
Some articles on this website compare services or providers. Unless an article explicitly identifies a separately commissioned and independently verified study, it is editorial analysis rather than an independent award, external endorsement, customer satisfaction survey or third-party accreditation. Any discussion of our own services represents our own position and should not be treated as an independent rating.
How to verify our work
Check the law or administrative guidance cited in the relevant article, confirm the date and applicability to your facts, and obtain a scoped written opinion where the answer could materially affect a tax return, payroll position, contract or investment. A written engagement defines deliverables and responsibilities.
